Arteum in a few words
Founded in 2008 by Lorraine Dauchez, ARTEUM is a French service company dedicated to museums and cultural institutions. Each museum is an exceptional place, a unique and universal brand whose collections and distinct identity attract audiences from all walks of life and generations.
With our unparalleled expertise, tailored solutions, and innovative approach, we support our museum partners in expanding their influence and fulfilling their mission to share art and culture both in France and internationally.
As the leading private operator of museum bookstores and boutiques-both physical and online-ARTEUM now manages nearly 30 retail locations within some of the most prestigious cultural institutions, including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, Palais Garnier, Eiffel Tower, Musée Matisse, Mucem, and many more. Our concept stores serve as an essential stop for visitors seeking beauty, meaning, stories, and emotions, extending the museum experience beyond its walls and acting as true cultural ambassadors.
Since 2021, ARTEUM has expanded its scope by managing cultural venues and services, including ticketing, exhibitions, digital strategy, communication, restaurants, and boutiques. This diversification began with the management of the Maison Gainsbourg in Paris, marking a natural evolution of our longstanding partnerships with museums and establishing a new pillar of our development.
"ARTEUM is more than just a company-it is a passion for art and culture brought to life every day. We take pride in democratizing access to art and culture, acting as a bridge between museums, creators, artisans, authors, and a broad audience, from newcomers to connoisseurs."
- Lorraine Dauchez, Founder & President of ARTEUM

GOLD THREAD AT MUSEE DU QUAI BRANLY
To illustrate this dazzling exhibition, our design studio, inspired by the magic of gold, has created a unique collection paying tribute to the traditional craft of gold thread embroidery. Each product offers a contemporary take on textiles and tableware, rediscovering the timeless beauty of gold thread: embroidered kimonos and tote bags, catch-all trays, and cups featuring the eagle motif. The collection is available in the museum's boutique and online.

Matisse Mediterranean
For Matisse, the Mediterranean held a special meaning: it was a sea composed of lived, imagined, felt, or fantasized spaces. For him as a painter, this place became a material, a space for intense chromatic and artistic exploration.
Arteum has created an exclusive collection inspired by the deep blue of the Mediterranean and the connection Henri Matisse had with this sea of dreams: colorful jewelry, posters, notebooks, mugs, and bags in the rich blues of the Mediterranean. These creations pay tribute to the strong bond between the artist and this intensely hued sea, ever-present in his work.
